Thank you to all our amazing volunteers who came out to help us with our Annual Flag Day and raise over £6000. It may only have been an hour of your time, but to us it means absolutely everything. A special thanks to BWCI and their staff who manned Waitrose. To everyone who donated money, no matter how small or large, we sincerely thank you all.

Mrs Julie Thompson took up the post early March to become the Charity’s first ever salaried manager. Such are the demands on the GAA that the hard-working committee of volunteers has realised that they alone cannot deliver consistent high-quality management themselves. Julie’s role will extend beyond the GAA Centre into the community to serve the charity’s mission and principal goals.

AGM and New Chairman
We had a great turnout at this years AGM on April 26th so thank you very much to all who took the time to attend. We had very mixed feelings as we were obviously delighted to welcome our new Chairman Stephen Collas to the Committee but this coincided with the end of Barbara Giles 5 year tenure as both Chairman and Hon Secretary.
We wish Barbara every happiness on her retirement and we are forever indebted to her for all she has done for the GAA. Thankfully Barbara will still be a very active volunteer in the centre so she will still be a familiar presence at the centre.
